Hair Products & Routine:
Andalou Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner Lavender Biotin
You know that one of my favorite grocery markets is Sprouts from maybe reading my previous post. I have a post on all my favorites here.
So, I found and started using this shampoo and conditioner in 2019 at Sprouts Farmer’s Market. So far, it has given me such great results. I’ve noticed a difference from the last shampoo and conditioner I was using which was causing my hair to be dry, fall out, and break. The reason I enjoy this shampoo is that it left it feeling soft, healthy, and silky. I knew my end goal when I purchased this shampoo is that I wanted it to stop breaking, grow, and to look more healthy. That is what it exactly did.
In about six months my hair grew an extra 5 inches since the last time I cut it. Before those six months, my hair would grow in such a slow process. You can purchase these products at your local Sprouts Farmers Market or on their website. You can also purchase it on Amazon here. Some facts about this shampoo and conditioner is that…
- Smells like Lavender
- It contains Biotin to grow your hair!
KENRA Strengthening Treatment
I got introduced to this hair product by my hairdresser about a couple of years ago. This was the same time I was using that not so great of shampoo and conditioner. My hair needed an extra something to stay soft and shiny. I’ve never heard of the brand and was intrigued to see what it had to offer. So, I tried it out for a couple of days and noticed a BIG difference. Wow, this product is my holy grail for my hair besides my shampoo and conditioner. It leaves it so soft and shiny. It prevents less damage and strengthens it. I’ve noticed that if I don’t use this product it will start to feel dry and not as soft. It has made it fall out less and feel healthier. You can purchase this product here.
I mentioned this product in my Top Beauty Must-Haves for This Winter post that you can check out here. However, I do use it for my skin, I use it for the ends of my hair as well. I use it more as a hair mask and not to smooth out my hair. I feel that if I use oil in my hair it tends to get more oily easier. Using this oil for many years I love it. It leaves my hair super soft on the bottoms and more likely to not get dry in the long term. You can purchase the one here.
Castor Oil is a product I have been using for years to keep my hair healthy and grow long. It is thick and sticky, but I do see results when I use it. It also leaves it super soft and shiny. You can purchase the one I use here.
CHI Silk Infusion
One product that helped my hair feel soft after I styled is such as straightening or curling it this product made my it shiny and smooth. It is the type of product that cost a little bit more but is worth the investment. I use the smallest amount and the product can last for a long time. I would say the product is less thick oil than castor oil, but it is not thick. It feels slippery in your hands. I also use this sometimes if I just got out of the shower and I want to add something to it to make it feel less dry. You can purchase this product here.
If you want to know how to grow your hair faster, one tip that most people and hairdressers give is to stop or use less heat on your hair. I am the type of person when going out or to work I like to straighten or curl it, but I’ve learned over the years its not so great for it. When I started to use less heat on my hair I noticed a difference in how my hair felt and was looking.
Wash Hair Every Other Day
I started doing this technique in 2019 and now that it is 2020 I’ve noticed it has helped my hair. I used to wash it everyday and washing it in those chemical shampoos made my hair dry, oily, damaged, and less shiny. When I started washing it every other day not only I noticed it is a lot healthier, but it started growing faster.
Don’t Play With Hair Too Much
You know that saying where some individuals say, “don’t touch your face”. Well, this is kind of the same. Touching, playing, etc to my hair produces extra oil and it doesn’t feel like I just got out of the shower, washed my it “clean”.
Fewer Products & Oils
As I watch influencers online to gain an insight on trending products or ways to benefit myself I have noticed that in their hair care routine they are always including so many products right after they just washed it. So, I say fewer products and oils to make it grow healthier, faster, and silkier.
